• positive and negative space of sculpture and how these elements of sculpture could b used to create dynamics features, the illusion of a dynamic object while the object itself is rather static.

  
  

• movement to connect with conceptual ideas of object (Skateboard)

  
  

• Inspiration conceptual: modern sculptors, the likes of Barbara Hepworth of Constantin Brâncuși

• Further inspiration for the visual: I found Nikolaus Weiler and his work (see photo bellow) was very interesting in the way he uses tubing and metal, materials that's usually very static, and compose them through the building process into something that's extremely dynamic and 'flowing' - a state so far from the material nature of the steel.

• I spent a considerable amount of time sketching designs for the brackets that should mount the different plains of cut skateboard to create the sculpture.
