The material VS Conceptual canandrum

After doing research on the material of the skateboard (see previous blog post) it was actually rather challenging to go on with the project in a way that would still speak of the material while trying to illustrate the conceptual 'picture' I was aiming to paint. It was supposed to speak of balance and movement, which is all well and good, but I had a change of mind relating to how the final product should look as I was increasingly starting to think about the materials and how I can SHOW the materials and their 'materiality' in a final work without totally compromising the conceptual side of the work (that should speak of balance and motion of the 'static' object).
